Heavy curtain poles are becoming more relevant. Windows are becoming larger and bi-fold doors are becoming increasingly popular. There are so many different brands out in the market that choosing the right one for your windows can be mind-boggling.

Bay windows can be a fantastic focal point for your house, both inside and out. All that natural light does wonders for your mood and the bay is a great place to put dressing tables, office desks and window seats. The only downside is that you have some tough decisions to make about your curtains. Should you go for a bespoke curtain pole, or get something from a store for some DIY installation?

Curtain poles for bay windows can be problematic if you do not invest a little time in research to find a suitable product. The first stumbling block is opting for a cheap DIY product. These can be excellent if you are hanging light weight curtains on a small bay (under 200cm total size) and you have no intention of actually using the curtains. If you have a larger window, long/heavy curtains or want to use the curtains on a regular basis; you really need a bespoke made to measure pole.
