Case Study | From Concept to Creation: The Journey of a Tailored Shower Curtain Pole

Did you know that we offer custom-made poles for purposes beyond window treatments? Our skilled team recently took on a unique project: crafting a made-to-measure shower curtain pole for a large, oval-shaped freestanding bath.

The challenge was to create a pole that not only matched the bath's distinctive shape but could also be securely mounted to the ceiling above it. To meet these requirements, we selected our top fixed Bradbury pole, constructed from stainless steel. This choice ensured the pole's resilience to the humid bathroom environment, preventing rust and corrosion. Additionally, the stainless steel finish seamlessly complemented the modern aesthetics of the room and its stainless steel accessories.

Our customer, R.B., and their family reside in a beautifully converted agricultural building. Recently, they decided to renovate their children's bathroom to include a bath with a shower. They opted for an elliptical composite stone bath and paired it with a ceiling-mounted rain shower. To enclose the freestanding tub, a shower curtain was essential, and they envisioned a pole that mirrored the bath's unique shape. Unfortunately, they couldn't find any off-the-shelf poles that matched the precise dimensions or design aesthetics they were looking for.

The Process:

Our dedicated team initiated the project by creating dimension estimates based on the drawings provided by the bath manufacturers. To ensure accuracy, we were provided with a template, allowing us to gradually curve the pole to precisely match the bath's contours.

In addition, we collaborated with a local engineer to manufacture special brackets, facilitating the secure ceiling mounting of the pole while accommodating the curtain's movement.

The Final Result:
